Home

My husband is busily running the numbers and creating a budget while also meeting with contractors to determine how we can put a new floor in ~ there is a huge opening between the main and 2nd floors, which if filled in, will add lovely space to the Inn as it provides us privacy below.

I’m busy designing, planning and visualizing how the space will look and feel. This week I’ve been focusing on the guest rooms as they’re what the Inn is all about. The name Villa Amor says it all… it’s all about the LOVE!

What we know for sure is;

We want our guests to focus on Romance, Relaxing and Rejuvenation so that when return home they’ll once again be ready to take on the world.

Below are photos of bedrooms I like and that are my inspiration in moving forward.

These are rooms I’ve designed in the past and although I won’t recreate them as I’m loyal to my clients, I do like them too.

I’ve numbered the photos and I’d sure appreciate it if you indicated in the comment space below, which room you’d choose to stay in if you were to visit Villa Amor del mar, and why? Also, please let me know what would make your stay exceptional if you were to get away for a romantic vacation.

Gracias!

I love your choices and am particularly fond of bed 29.</div><div><br></div> <br><div><div></div></div></body></html>

  2. Hi Cindy, I love the clean and coziness of 3. My other favorites are 17, 19 bed and chandelier and 29. Whatever you pick will be fabulous!

  5. Hey Cindy, here are the rooms I liked: 5 (looked the bed, canopy & all the wood), 7 (loved the floor, bed & canopy, but not the wall or all the other stuff…feels crowded), 10 (loved the wood in the bed, the accessories, very clean, light, inviting), 11 (very simple & clean, loved the headboard of candles), 12 (loved the canopy), 25 (loved the canopy…see a theme here?) 28 (Loved the bed and the colors), 34 (loved the furniture and colors) and 38 (loved the bed and wall hanging). I always want a King bed, great crisp, beautiful linens with high thread count, light & airy room with windows that open, light, gauzy, breezy curtains, but also need black-out blinds/shades as I am very light sensitive and want a gorgeous, quiet ceiling fan. xoxo

  6. Cindy, I agree with Dayna…whatever you do will be so beautiful!I guess I’m old-fashioned/traditional in styles…I like the following rooms:3-looks comfy and cozy5-love the canopy bed7-looks tropical–feels like you’re really away from home with the different textures and accents…like the natural colours, but might add more colours like brown and turquoise–like #13??14-looks royal & inviting19-looks fresh, cozy and comfy…may be my favorite??31-looks ‘rich’-cozy pillows, duvets38-beach decor-love the red bed frame and beach ‘westcoast’ feelKatie likes 3, 7, 14, 19 with #13 colours…I guess when I go to a hotel/inn/resort, I love comfy duvets, plush pillows (bed and breakfast idea). We prefer a queen bed that is medium-hard (with pillow top). (We seem to get lost in a king bed!) I like white bedding for some reason with rich wall colours/white trim (like #17–something about it makes me feel fresh/clean/romantic…)Hope this helps…can’t wait to see the finished project! Have fun!!Love and miss you, Jacqui

  8. Cindy whatever you do will be lovely. I prefer a king bed that is firm. My favorite bedrooms are the ones with the beautiful bright wall colors, just reminds me of Mexico. I of course love # 38 37 36 35 34 and 33 for the beautiful colors but I also like # 17 and 12 just not the canopys. Look forward to seeing things progress good luck with your great new adventure.!!
