There are 10 bathrooms in our inn to design and decorate, yes I said TEN. I ADORE designing bathrooms!
Having said that, as with all design projects, there are variables.
- Budget, always a darn budget, lol.
- Living in Mexico, there’s lots of tile but not always what I prefer nor in my budget. So I work with what is here, I do love a challenge.
There are 4 existing guest room bathrooms which all will be similar and 1 new guest room bathroom which has the most opportunity for originality. The inspiration:

There is a rooftop bathroom where I intend to create a tropical feel.
There is a bathroom for use by the pool which is getting what we call in the biz a re and re. A spit and polish so to speak.
There is a powder room that has just had the floor jackhammered out ~ good thing we did as there was a broken pipe, yikes.

There is another bathroom that we’re ignoring for now, 9’s enough don’t you think!
My desire for a freestanding bath and our difficulty in finding one is my greatest challenge.

It’s the perfect season as everyday feels like Christmas in our renovation. Each day reveals another step of completion. I’m giddy with the progress and will start revealing some of it to you too… soon!
