Leap year comes once every four years. WOW! Imagine being a leap year baby! What do you do with that? Have a huge splash once every 4 years? Or would you fake it every year having an un-birthday? I’m glad I don’t have to think about that!
The next time leap year rolls around I’ll be able to say, “Four years ago today, our pool was ready for the first swim!” Then I’ll remember fondly how my father in-law, I call him Papa, said I’ll meet you guys at the pool.” As I looked down guess who was smiling up at me, ha-ha. He even was sassy enough to say, “I swam in the new pool before the owners”!!”
Chris and I joined him. I gave Chris the honor of the 2nd pool initiation as he struggled and stressed to get so much right!
He made a splash with his ‘leap’.
Then, as workers continued their tasks around us I leapt… sauntered actually, to join them.
As you’ll see in the background, there is still work to be done. It’s getting done and quickly now. More on that in future posts.
Today, we also drove Papa to the airport, sad to see him go but glad Mama won’t be alone in the house tonight.
Did you leap today?
I feel like I’ve been leaping a lot and actually need a rest but when I sat down tonight the metaphor occurred to me… do you leap often or wait?
No right or wrong answer, just telling. If you’re happy with your life, I’d think you’ve figured the balance for you. If like me, you’re currently exhausted, LOL, maybe a little less leaping would be good.
Think about it.
Happy Leap year!
Inspire someone today!
Not feeling it? Be Kind. Be Generous. Be LOVE!
Kudos to you for your bravery, I find I’m too fearful to leap. I love both of you and I’m happy to see your success’.
