Can it be? Is it truly the last day of 2011? That passed quickly… sort of. On the one hand I feel like the year just began and in other ways it’s been a long one, we’ve done a lot.

Chris and I both awoke early today. He was eager to get to building cabinets at our new Inn ~ the wood arrived, he’s excited. I’m enjoying coffee on the deck embracing the sunrise which always reminds me of the preciousness of life. A new day, new beginnings, I’m most definitely blessed. As the birds chirp their awakening, with Koko at my side, I huddle under a blanket, I sip coffee and I write. I’ll finish this and take coffee to him.

The cusp of the new year, the next year, has always been one of contemplation for me. Memories flood my mind ~ what was great, what went wrong, what worked? I consider areas I need to course correct. Paramount in my thoughts are the many people who contributed to who I am. I’m thankful beyond words for my kids, my hubby, my family, my friends. I miss those far away.

Many thanks to YOU who read my blog. It’s humbling to know others care what I have to say. What started as an idea to share inspiring happenings has evolved. 2012 will bring changes inspired by your input.

I share about resolutions and goals later. Today is about endings, hopes, friendship and LOVE.

We’re having a small gathering of friends on our rooftop tonight. The Inn isn’t complete yet but so many are supportive we decided to share the fireworks show with them. We haven’t seen a New Years fireworks show in the Bay of Banderas before but have heard accolades ~ apparently everywhere we look around the bay is ablaze. I’m a fireworks nut and am beyond excited. We’ll sng and dance and giggle too!

  2. We missed you and Chris as we partied and danced the night away at Richmond Country Gardens.  No fireworks or view but lots of Richmond friends and the band was really good.  They kept the dance floor hopping the entire night! If we can sort through the problems with a recent lien on all of the condo’s in our building we should still get possession of it at some point in the near future so that we can start the reno’s.  It’s exciting to do a reno this large but pretty scary and challenging to sink this much money into one condo.  I’m not sure how you and Chris do it although it’s one massive project for you and not one condo.  You must have nerves of steel! Jim’s yelling at me to come and watch Sandra Dee and Bobby Darren with him.  I don’t think I’ll ever get him out of the 60’s. I hear you’re coming back for 3 months in the summer.  We’ll look forward to seeing you then.
